What a crack up. Many years we have been going to the zoo and have never had a good view of the lions - until Saturday. When my daughter sat by the glass I could see the lioness eyeballing her so I pulled out my camera just as she pounced. Funny because I had seen the other video posted here on U Local of the lioness doing the same thing just recently. If you watch that other video you will see that the lioness actually jumps up towards the young girl first and not the little boy sitting in the corner. When my son sat down next to the glass after this happen the lioness didn't react at all but once his sister came close to the glass the lioness again looked like she was ready to pounce again. I couldn't get my daughter to sit in the corner again in order to test out my hypothesis that she was after her because they are both female. If you check my other video posted on U Local you'll see the baboons do the same thing with my son. Very odd, very cool. When I showed my daughter the still clip at the end of this video she said the lioness was trying to "hug" her.
