  • Carlisle's State of the City address & defending rail transit

     Carlisle's State of the City address points are:  We are preparing Honolulu for the future, Two: We are investing in infrastructure, And Three: We are ending politics as usual and increasing citizen engagement....." REALLY?  START WITH Perry & Price reports the new HART directors have been selected WITHOUT public opinion.      ON 2/13/2012, 150M requested for Honolulu rail transit.     DEBT Raising and investing million of OUR taxes is going to be wasted on bad contract oversight like the Ala Wai & Diamond Head trash that was untouched for a month until KHON2 reported it on 1/11.        Combine this fact with the lack of contract oversight to clean park restrooms.      And for Dan Inouye and all the pro railers out there, how many of you WILL promise to ride it EVERYDAY?    A viable option preparing Honolulu for the future IS building a 21st century city WORKING infrastructures, AS carlisle claims on his 2nd. point, not back door decisions.
