WAS FREE DIVING THE CAVES UP ON THE NORTH SHORE IN A PLACE CALLED SHARK'S COVE . AS I WAS COMING OUT OF THIS ONE CAVE. A MONK SEAL WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE. I WOULD HAVE TURNED AROUND IF I COULD BUT DID NOT HAVE MUCH AIR AT THAT POINT.
Electrical substation at corner of Makaloa and Amana Sts., Honolulu, caught fire about 7:30am Sunday 19 Dec. 2010 during heavy drizzle. Heard a minor short buzz, and witnessed a small puff of smoke drifting off. About 1 minute later, an identical buzz was followed by the transformer equipment bursting into flame. The flame burned about 2-3 minutes before the explosion on the uploaded video occurred.
got there at 5pm and just wanted to see if we were going to be able to see some shooting of the movie. Then we heard Johnny Depp might be say hello to the crowd. Waited until 7 and then Johnny came out said hi to the crowd for all of about 20 sec and then left.
Out on the one man five miles from the shore of Hilo Bay. We ran into two gigantic whales while taking a break before turning back. What a beautiful, yet frightful experience.

Traveling approximately 4.59 miles per second and 250 miles above the earth.
Very sad to see the shuttle fleet retiring. I remember when I was in grade school back in 1970 and living in Sunnyvale, Ca.
Took a field trip to NASA Ames Research Center located next to the now decommissioned Naval Air Station Moffett Field.
They showed us kids a prototype/design of this spacecraft that would blast into space and fly back to earth like an airplane.
Of course most of us kids were skeptical about it.
The first Space Shuttle named the Enterprise blasted off for it first flight in1977.
